The End of Prophecy

During this period of peace, prophecy seemed to have ceased. Instead, they compiled the stories of the past. The stories told by prophets, the stories of what seemed to be the acts of God were compiled into a number of books. The first five of them being the Bible or the Pentateuch or the Five Scrolls.


But after this 200 years of peace and after the death of Alexander who had let Isreal follow their own religion, came Antiochus.
